Hi everyone, just a quick update. Lauren has been really well. I could not be more proud. She is holding her head up high, she is gutting through the phantom pain, doing her therapy and most importantly putting herself out there. She has not been hiding in the house or behind the surgey. We have been doing as much as she can! Shopping, baseball and even playing basketball and picking up dog poop(sky can testify to both those)! We saw Dr. Hahn today and he increased the medication that helps some with the phantom pain so with that and new therapy we are hoping that these things will lessen those pains. THE BIG news for today was that she got her first shrinker. What is a shrinker? It is a sock that acts like a compression garmet to help with the swelling of the knub so that it will be ready for the socket eventually. Lauren loved the idea that It was skin color which is cool. SO Monday the 22nd was a good day! Oh and we got some amazing blueberry/ lemon homemade muffins from Bruce and Andrea OMG to die for!!
